Job summary

Northwest Specialty Hospital is seeking a skilled RN to direct and provide professional nursing care in the PACU/Pre-Op Unit, handling pre-op and recovery duties with a typical 2:1 patient-to-nurse ratio. The role includes delegating assignments, coordinating admissions and discharges, and ensuring meds and supply orders are accurate.

Preferred candidates have PACU/critical care or ER experience, Idaho RN licensure, and BLS; ACLS/PALS within six months.

Qualifications

• Experience in PACU, critical care, or emergency room preferred.
• Current RN licensure in Idaho.
• BSN preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification within 6 months of employment.
• PALS certification within 6 months of employment.
• Strong English communication for safe patient care and documentation.
• Ability to relate well with others and uphold nursing standards.

Responsibilities

• Direct and provide professional nursing care in PACU/Pre-Op unit.
• Direct nursing assignments and delegate tasks.
• Prepare schedules and oversee admissions and discharges.
• Monitor and order medicines and supplies as needed.
