Job summary

Northwest Specialty Hospital is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) for the Surgery Center PACU unit. This per-diem, part-time role will typically involve one shift per week on-site in Post Falls, Idaho.

You will provide nursing care in pre-op and recovery, manage admissions and discharges, and ensure safe medication administration in a fast-paced environment. Qualified candidates will have an Idaho RN license, BSN preferred, and BLS; ACLS and PALS are required within six months.

Qualifications

• Previous PACU, critical care or emergency room experience strongly preferred
• Current RN licensure in the State of Idaho
• BSN preferred
• Proof of Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• ACLS certification within six months of employment
• PALS certification within six months of employment
• Demonstrated skills in verbal and written English communications for safe and effective patient care and to meet documentation standards
• Ability to relate and work effectively with others
• Aware of professional nursing standards and performs in accordance with them

Responsibilities

• Direct and provide professional nursing care in the PACU/Pre-Op Unit
• Work both pre-op and recovery as part of patient care
• Oversee admissions and discharges and monitor medications and supplies
• Delegate nursing assignments and prepare schedules
• Ensure documentation meets standards and communicates clearly with the care team
