Job summary

Northwest Specialty Hospital is seeking a compassionate RN for the PACU/Pre-Op Unit to provide direct, professional nursing care in a fast-paced setting. You will work in both pre-op and recovery, with a typical patient-to-nurse ratio of 2:1, subject to department needs.

Duties include delegating assignments, scheduling, admissions/discharges, and managing medications and supplies. Required: Idaho RN license, BLS, ACLS and PALS within specified timelines; BSN preferred; excellent verbal and

Qualifications

• PACU/Pre-Op nursing experience preferred.
• Current RN license in Idaho
• BSN preferred
• BLS certification required
• ACLS within 6 months of employment
• PALS within 6 months of employment
• Strong English communication for patient care and documentation

Responsibilities

• Direct and provide professional nursing care in the PACU/Pre-Op Unit; work both pre-op and recovery.
• Maintain a 2:1 patient-to-nurse ratio where possible and adjust to department needs.
• Delegate nursing assignments, prepare schedules, oversee admissions and discharges, monitor and order medicines and supplies.
