Job summary

Mercy Health in Cincinnati is seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality perioperative care in a fast-paced surgical setting.

You will collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team, assess patient status, and provide pre-op to post-op care in a safe environment. The role requires RN licensure, an accredited nursing degree, and BLS/ACLS or PALS; CNOR preferred; new grads welcome.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Associates degree or Bachelors degree in Nursing.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• BLS required; ACLS or PALS preferred at hire and may be required within 6 months.
• CNOR certification preferred but not required; SGNA preferred but not required.
• New Grad RN considered; Peri-op 101 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate perioperative care.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment throughout the perioperative period.
• Observe the surgery from a broad perspective and help maintain a safe environment.
• Manage nursing care in the OR and coordinate needs with the surgical team.
• Provide pre-op, intra-op and post-op care including discharge instructions.
• Other duties as assigned.
