Job summary

Mercy Health in Kings Mills Hospital is seeking an operating room Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver high-quality perioperative care. You will collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, perform pre-op to post-op assessments, and ensure a safe surgical environment.

The role requires RN licensure, an OR internship (preferred), and pediatric/advanced life support certifications as applicable. Mercy Health supports professional development and compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Associates degree or Bachelors degree in Nursing.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Two years RN experience in Critical Care Department (preferred, not required).
• Completion of OR internship program (preferred, not required).
• BLS/ACLS or PALS certification preferred; CNOR and SGNA preferred/not required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment.
• Observe the surgery and assist in maintaining a safe environment.
• Manage nursing care within the OR and coordinate with the surgical team.
• Provide pre-op, intra-op, and post-op care including discharge instructions.
• Other duties as assigned.
