Job summary

Mercy Health in Cincinnati is seeking an Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver high-quality perioperative care across pre-op, intra-op, and post-op phases within the Recovery Room (PACU). You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, assess patient status, and implement care plans to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes in a fast-paced surgical environment.

This role requires an Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing, active RN licensure, BLS/ACLS or PALS

Qualifications

• Two years of RN experience in Critical Care Department (preferred, not required).
• Graduate of an accredited Associates or Bachelors degree in Nursing.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• BLS Basic Life Support, ACLS or PALS (preferred, may be required).
• CNOR and SGNA preferred, not required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment.
• Observe the surgery and assist the team to maintain a safe environment.
• Manage nursing care of the patient within the OR and coordinate with other care providers.
• Provide pre-op, intra-op, and post-op care, including discharge instructions.
