Job summary

Virginia Urology is seeking an Operating Room RN to deliver perioperative nursing care to surgical patients in a full-time role. You will function as scrub, circulator, and assistant, ensuring aseptic technique and patient safety throughout procedures.

Qualifications include Virginia RN license (or reciprocity pending), CPR and ACLS, and at least two years of circulating OR experience. Schedule is Monday through Friday with full benefits.

Qualifications

• Licensed registered nurse in Virginia or awaiting reciprocity.
• CPR and ACLS certification are required.
• Minimum two years’ circulating experience in perioperative settings.

Responsibilities

• Develops a care plan per patient needs and nursing standards.
• Communicates abnormal lab values and patient changes to the surgeon/anesthesiologist.
• Maintains aseptic technique and safe OR environment.
• Provides scrub, circulator, and bedside assistance during procedures.
• Documents patient status, counts, and operative events accurately.
• Supports anesthesia providers during induction and emergence of anesthesia.
• Performs post-operative patient status reporting to PACU.
