North Carolina Specialty Hospital, part of Surgery Partners, Inc., is hiring a Registered Nurse for perioperative care in Durham, NC. The role delivers safe, cost-effective nursing across age groups from pediatrics to geriatric patients in the PACU setting.

The ideal candidate holds an RN license in NC or a compact state, with BLS and preferably ACLS/PALS. Experience in perioperative and critical care is valued; BSN is preferred for advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited program and NC or compact state license.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS/PALS preferred or obtained within 6 months.
• Minimum 1 year perioperative and 1 year critical care experience preferred.
• BSN preferred for career growth and leadership potential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive, safe, age-appropriate nursing care across the patient lifespan.
• Use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care.
• Supervise and guide other team members; assist with PACU decisions as needed.
• Coordinate discharge planning and collaborate with care team for patient readiness.
• Document care accurately in the patient record and participate in quality initiatives.
• Adapt care to age-specific standards and procedures; maintain professionalism and safety.
