Job summary

Southpoint Surgery Center in Durham, NC is seeking a Registered Nurse for pre-operative care in a multi-specialty ambulatory surgery setting. You will provide comprehensive nursing care, administer medications, and ensure accurate charting in coordination with physicians and the OR team.

Eligible candidates are graduates of an accredited nursing program with an active RN license and BLS/ACLS certifications. A collaborative, patient‑focused environment and competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse License.
• Current American Heart Assn. BLS and ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, develops and implements total nursing care for the pre-operative patient.
• Records and reports symptoms, reactions, abnormalities and changes in patient conditions.
• Administers medications and treatments ordered by the physician.
• Cares and discharges pre-operative patients according to facility policies.
• Reviews pre-operative charts for accuracy and completeness.
