Job summary

SCA Health in Colorado Springs is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the PreOp PACU to support patient recovery after anesthesia and coordinate perioperative care. You will assess patients, monitor vital signs, manage airway and pain, and collaborate with the surgical team to ensure safe transfers and optimal outcomes.

Graduate of an accredited nursing program with current state RN licensure is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current state RN licensure required.
• ACLS/BLS certifications due within 90 days of employment.
• Prior PreOp or PACU experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote mission, vision and values of SCA Health.
• Assess preoperative and postoperative status according to policies.
• Interpret monitoring data and ensure safe patient care.
• Develop and implement perianesthesia plan of care.
• Coordinate recovery from anesthesia and patient transfers.
• Delegate as appropriate and communicate status to team.
• Provide education to patient and family as needed.
