Job summary

SCA Health in San Diego, CA is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Operating Room to support perioperative patient care. You will promote the organization’s mission, assess patients throughout the perioperative episode, and develop individualized care plans as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, valid RN license, and 1+ year OR/medical-surgical experience. BLS/ACLS are required; PALS if pediatric care is included.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• One year of OR and/or medical/surgical nursing experience preferred.
• Current state nursing licensure to practice in good standings.
• BLS within 90 days of employment, ACLS within 90 days, and PALS if pediatric care is included.
• Perioperative nursing certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA Health.
• Assess patient status throughout the perioperative episode of care.
• Develop an individualized perioperative patient plan of care.
• Serve as a member of a multidisciplinary team in planning perioperative patient care.
