Job summary

AdventHealth in Florida is seeking a perioperative nurse to join our operating room team. You will perform circulating and scrub duties, assist with pre- and postoperative assessments, and ensure patient safety and privacy.

You must hold an RN license with perioperative nursing experience; BLS is required, CNOR/CRNFA preferred. This full-time role offers day shifts, competitive pay, a $10k sign-on bonus, and comprehensive benefits from day one.

Qualifications

• RN with perioperative nursing experience.
• Proficient in acute care nursing and patient assessment.
• Experience with computerized documentation and clinical workflows.
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Assures appropriate traffic control in the operating room.
• Initiates the incident reporting mechanisms when indicated.
• Performs specialized nursing care in all phases of the peri-operative role.
• Assists with pre- and postoperative assessment of the patient and updates preference cards as needed.
• Performs surgical counts and prepares operating room setup.
