Job summary

AdventHealth in Florida is seeking an experienced perioperative RN to support operating room activities in a fast-paced setting. The role requires assisting with pre- and postoperative assessments, OR setup, and ensuring patient safety throughout procedures.

Qualifications

• RN with perioperative experience.
• Experience in acute care nursing is required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and team.

Responsibilities

• Assures appropriate traffic control in the operating room.
• Initiates incident reporting mechanisms when indicated.
• Performs specialized nursing care in peri-operative roles.
• Assists with pre- and postoperative patient assessments and updates preference cards.
• Prepares operating room setup and instruments according to surgeon cards.
• Recognizes emergency situations and responds appropriately.
