Job summary

Florida Medical Clinic is seeking a skilled perianesthesia professional to support surgical practice in a perioperative setting. The role includes triage, chart prep, and obtaining diagnostic information across Radiology and Labs.

You will assist the surgeon and participate in patient care through multiple operative stages. The position requires RN and completion of an RN First Assistant program, with 3+ years perioperative nursing experience and active Florida licensure.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Successful completion of an accredited Registered Nurse First Assistant training program including didactic and supervised clinical learning components.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates administrative functions for practice including scheduling consults and diagnostic studies.
• Serve as first assistant to the surgeon under direct supervision.
• Maintain knowledge of surgical procedures and assist during procedures.
• Assist with patient positioning, draping, and wound closure as directed by the surgeon.
• Demonstrate proficiency in perioperative nursing practice in both scrub and circulator roles.
• Maintain compliance with Orlando Health policies and procedures.
