Job summary

Shields Health Solutions in Massachusetts is seeking a registered nurse to deliver general nursing care and lead clinical teams in the ambulatory surgery setting. This role emphasizes collaboration with physicians and multidisciplinary staff to promote and restore patient health.

This 32-hour position (Mon-Fri, day-time hours) offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus and free parking onsite. You will support peri-operative care, patient safety, and quality while maintaining efficient department operations.

Qualifications

• Completion of a minimum of two (2) years education at an accredited School of Nursing, eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• Minimum of one (1) year experience in Ambulatory Surgery, Outpatient Surgery, or OR nursing.
• Current Massachusetts nursing license with no sanctions or disciplinary actions.
• AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider (BLS) required; ACLS within one year of hire.
• PALS certification preferred or obtained within six months of request.

Responsibilities

• Promote a positive organizational culture and collaborate with caregivers to provide high-quality care.
• Engage in staff and department meetings, teaching, and in-services.
• Provide peri-operative nursing care and coordinate patient plans with physicians.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort, document care plans and progress.
• Respond to emergencies and ensure infection control and policy compliance.
• Cross-train or float as needed to support staffing needs.
• Assist with supplies, equipment readiness, and OR setup.
