Job summary

Southcoast Health in Wareham, MA is seeking an Operating Room RN for day shift with on-call rotation. 32-hour weeks with varied start times; eligible for a $4,000 new hire sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.

Responsibilities include directing total nursing care in the OR, patient and family teaching, and collaboration with the perioperative team. Massachusetts RN licensure and BLS required; ACLS preferred or within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or equivalent is required.
• Over three months up to and including one year experience is preferred.
• Current RN Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also required.
• ACLS certification required or within 6 months of hire.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.
• Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.

Responsibilities

• Under direction of the perioperative leadership, perform a variety of duties coordinating total nursing care for patients in the operating room.
• Participate in patient and family teaching and provide leadership by working cooperatively with the patient care team.
• Maintain standards for professional nursing practice within the assigned unit and provide care appropriate to the age group served.
