Job summary

CHRISTUS Health is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to join our Perioperative/clinical team in Texas. The role involves independent nursing care, careful planning and delegation to ensure optimal patient outcomes within the care setting.

The ideal candidate holds a BSN (preferred), an active RN license, and current BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications; at least 1 year of related experience is preferred. Per diem availability is required to support patient care needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
• 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred.
• Current ACLS certification required.
• Current PALS certification required.
• BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Administers medications and treatments using appropriate protocols; monitors side-effects and effectiveness.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medication and care given.
• Educates patients, family members and caregivers; identifies issues and resources.

Education
