Job summary

CHRISTUS Health seeks a skilled RN to provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care in a fast-paced environment. The role requires independent practice, adherence to ANA standards, and effective delegation to team members to manage clinical situations.

The ideal candidate has a BSN (preferred), current RN license, and BLS; ACLS/PALS as per unit requirements. Multiple shifts and full-time employment are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire.
• Perioperative RN Residency or recent OR/perioperative practice preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meets expectations of CHRISTUS Health competencies.
• Provides nursing care using the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation.
• Addresses psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Administers medications and treatments per protocol; monitors side effects and effectiveness.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided.
• Educates patients and families about learning needs and resources.
