Job summary

Boys Town is seeking a dedicated registered nurse to join our operating room team in Omaha. The role covers pre-operative assessments, intraoperative support, and post-procedure care in a fast-paced surgical setting.

Responsibilities include circulating duties, instrument handling, and ensuring Time Out and safety checks. Strong documentation, teamwork, and communication are essential for delivering high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Must be a registered nurse with current state license.
• ACLS and PALS certifications within 6 months of hire.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• Experience in operating room and perioperative care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-operative assessments and plan of care for surgical patients.
• Assist in circulating duties, positioning, and instrument handling.
• Ensure Time Out verification and strict asepsis standards.
• Prepare OR, manage supplies, and assist surgeon during procedures.
• Support Joint Commission readiness and department performance improvement.
