Job summary

Qualifications

• Current RN license issued in Iowa or compact state.
• Operating Room experience preferred.
• BLS certification within six weeks of hire; AHA credentials.
• Mandatory Reporter abuse training within three months of hire.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Scrubs and circulates on cases independently with minimal direction.
• Prepares for surgical cases efficiently, anticipating needs of patient and OR team.
• Maintains aseptic technique to ensure patient and staff safety.
• Collects and analyzes patient data to support nursing diagnoses.
• Communicates effectively with patient, staff, physicians, and families.
• Directs room cleanup and turnover after procedures.
