Job summary

Qualifications

• Possession of a current Iowa RN license.
• Operating Room experience preferred.
• BLS certification required within six weeks of hire.
• Mandatory Reporter abuse training within three months of hire.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Scrubs and circulates on cases independently.
• Prepares for surgical cases and anticipates needs.
• Maintains aseptic technique and safe environment.
• Collects data and assesses patient for nursing diagnosis.
• Communicates with patient, staff, physicians, and families.
• Maintains knowledge of equipment setup and function.
• Directs room turnover and turnover processes.
