Job summary

University of Maryland Medical System is seeking a Perioperative Business Supervisor to oversee administrative staff and operations across Downtown and Midtown centers. The role ensures efficient registration, scheduling, supply chain, and financial performance in support of quality patient care.

The candidate will supervise coordinators, manage staffing, and coordinate with managers to drive performance and compliance with policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Registered Nursing License in Maryland is required.
• Three years of supervisory experience.
• Nursing experience in surgical and/or procedural services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise Coordinators/Administrative Support Staff and assure proper staffing levels.
• Provide clinical oversight to patient scheduling, insurance authorization, and charge capture.
• Interview, hire, train/orient, supervise staff and manage schedules.
• Ensure timely communication of changes in registration, scheduling, referrals, and financial processes.
• Monitor and audit department operations, including budgets and compliance.
• Maintain efficient office workflows and supply management.
