Qualifications

• Must have nursing degree from an accredited school.
• Current state nursing licensure in good standing.
• BLS/BCLS certification required within 90 days of employment.
• ACLS certification required within 90 days of employment.
• PALS certification required when pediatric care is included.

Responsibilities

• Assess preoperative and postoperative status per policy, including cardiovascular, respiratory, neurological, hemodynamic stability, pain and rest needs.
• Interpret data from monitors to inform care decisions.
• Develop individualized perianesthesia plan of care and implement it across recovery phases.
• Prepare for and manage patient recovery from anesthesia across general, MAC, regional, and local techniques.
• Provide patient education, hand off reports, and ensure infection prevention and safety measures.
