Job summary

Effingham Hospital, Inc. Staff Registered Nurse provides professional perioperative care for patients undergoing surgical and invasive procedures across pre-, intra-, and post-anesthesia recovery phases.

Collaborating with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and families, you ensure safe outcomes, regulatory compliance, and excellent patient service while maintaining sterile technique and efficient workflow.

Qualifications

• Active Georgia RN license; BLS required; ACLS and PALS certifications within 30 days of hire; CNOR preferred.
• Graduation from an accredited registered nursing program; ADN required; BSN preferred.
• Minimum 1 year nursing or related clinical experience; operating room, recovery, procedural area, ED, or critical care experience preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, communication, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care to surgical and invasive procedures across pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-anesthesia recovery phases.
• Collaborates with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, ancillary departments, patients, and families to support safe outcomes and excellent care.
• Completes accurate, timely documentation of assessments, interventions, medications, intraoperative activities, recovery status, and education.
• Supports quality improvement, infection prevention, patient education, confidentiality, and efficient daily operation of Surgical Services.
• Maintains sterile technique and environmental safety in surgical suites.
