UAB Medicine is seeking a Nurse Manager for Pre-Op & PACU to lead the Pre-Operative and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit. You will ensure safe, high-quality patient-centered perioperative care and supervise staff across the perioperative continuum.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Nursing with 5+ years in perioperative/acute care and 2+ years in leadership, with a preference for a Master’s in Nursing or Healthcare Administration. ACLS/BLS certifications may be expected for clinical leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing with five years of progressive nursing experience in perioperative, pre-operative, PACU, critical care or acute care settings.
• Minimum of two years in leadership, supervisory, charge nurse, or management roles.
• Preferred Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership across the Pre-Op and PACU units.
• Ensure delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centered perioperative care.
• Manage departmental resources, regulatory compliance, and drive quality and patient safety initiatives.
