Green Key Resources seeks an experienced RN leader to serve as Nurse Manager of Perioperative Services in Los Angeles, CA. Reporting to the Director of Perioperative/Perinatal Services, this role maintains 24/7 accountability across Pre-Op, OR, PACU and GI/Endoscopy.

You will lead quality improvement, staff development, regulatory readiness and foster a compassionate, high-performing, person-centered care culture.

Qualifications

  • BSN required; MSN/MHA preferred
  • Active RN license; ACLS required; CNOR preferred
  • 5+ years perioperative nursing; 2+ years leadership
  • Spanish language skills preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversee 24/7 nursing practice and patient flow across Pre-Op, OR, PACU, GI/Endoscopy
  • Lead quality improvement and regulatory readiness programs
  • Mentor staff, conduct competency assessments, and manage schedules
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize care
  • Monitor payroll and agency usage to manage staffing costs

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) leader to serve as the Nurse Manager of Perioperative Services. Reporting to the Director of Perioperative/Perinatal Services, this position maintains 24/7 operational and clinical accountability across the entire perioperative continuum, including Pre-Op, OR, PACU, and GI/Endoscopy.

In this role, you will lead quality improvement, staff development, and regulatory compliance while fostering a compassionate, high-performing environment aligned with person-centered care values.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clinical & Operational Oversight: Manage 24/7 nursing practice, patient flow, room assignments, and staffing schedules using workforce management tools (e.g., Clairvia). Provide front-line clinical support as needed.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Hire, mentor, and evaluate department staff. Lead competency assessments, education, and progressive discipline while building a collaborative, high-morale team culture.
  • Quality & Compliance: Implement unit-specific Quality and Performance Improvement (QPI) plans, maintain regulatory readiness, audit patient records, and ensure adherence to clinical and safety standards.
  • Physician & Interdepartmental Liaison: Partner closely with physicians, house supervisors, and multidisciplinary teams to resolve operational issues and optimize patient care delivery.
  • Resource & Financial Stewardship: Review payroll (Kronos), manage overtime and agency usage, and optimize staffing mix based on patient acuity and department guidelines.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree (MSN/MHA) preferred.
  • Licensure & Certifications: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; ACLS certification required. Specialty certification (e.g., CNOR) preferred.
  • Experience: Extensive clinical experience in perioperative nursing (OR, Pre-op, PACU, or Endoscopy) with proven leadership or charge nurse experience.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of regulatory standards, staff scheduling software (Clairvia), payroll systems (Kronos), and evidence-based patient care models. Excellent conflict resolution and communication skills required.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
A. Education
  • Bachelor of Science degree in nursing required; Master’s in nursing preferred
B. Qualifications/Experience
  • Minimum of five (5) years of clinical nursing experience in perioperative nursing with regard to regulatory guidelines and standard of practice; minimum two (2) years leadership/supervisory experience required.
  • Certification in Perioperative Nursing (CNOR) preferred
C. Special Skills/Knowledge
  • Bilingual skills preferred (Spanish)

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Experience with an Electronic Medical Record Preferred
