Job summary

Rock Health is seeking an experienced nursing leader to oversee PreOp and PACU operations, ensuring high-quality, safe patient care in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The role includes leading nursing practice, mentoring staff, and coordinating 24/7 Same Day Surgery and PACU activities, while supporting the CNO and optimizing resources to achieve excellent outcomes. A nursing degree is required, with BSN/MSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 2 years of progressive management experience in a hospital.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities.
• Educational background in nursing (degree required).
• Bachelor's or master's in nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and support in PreOp/PACU patient care.
• Assist in assessing, planning, coordinating, implementing and evaluating nursing practices.
• Assume 24/7 responsibility for Same Day Surgery and PACU operations.

Provides leadership and support in the PreOp / PACU - Post Anesthesia Care unit, ensuring high-quality, safe, and efficient patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Assists in assessing, planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating nursing practices at the unit level.
• Assumes 24/7 responsibility for Same Day Surgery and PACU operations.
• Supports the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) in managing nursing and patient care services.
• Ensures clinical staff competency and optimal resource management.
• Provides leadership, mentorship, and serves as a professional role model for nursing staff.
• Performs related duties to maintain operational excellence.

Qualifications & Skills

• Active, current RN license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 2 years of progressive management experience in a hospital setting, such as a manager or charge nurse.
• Effective interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to serve as a role model and advocate for nursing professionalism.
• Educational background in nursing (minimum academic degree).
