Job summary

Illinois Bone & Joint Institute, LLC is seeking a Clinical Coordinator to coordinate therapeutic, patient/family-centered care per physician orders and regulatory standards. The role applies nursing processes and pre-operative planning, coordinating with anesthesia and surgical staff.

The coordinator will supervise staff, orient new members, and ensure accurate documentation, patient safety, and effective communication with patients and physicians, while maintaining a safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or RN degree preferred.
• Current Illinois RN license.
• BLS certification within 6 months of hire.
• Two to three years of related experience; supervisory preferred.
• Surgery center experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee nursing process in patient care per policy and protocol.
• Coordinate staffing schedules for assigned areas.
• Perform supervisory duties per policies and laws.
• Serve as a preceptor and orient new staff; direct work.
• Maintain knowledge/skills to deliver safe patient care.
• Liaise between center, surgeon, anesthesia, and patient.
• Gather data for anesthesia metric qualifications.
• Assess health status and plan care integrated with pre-operative plan.
• Ensure patient safety procedures and timely documentation.
• Keep work area stocked and compliant with policies.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment; perform other duties.
