Job summary

Yale New Haven Health seeks a Professional Registered Nurse for the Operative Suite and PACU, accountable for planning and administering direct nursing care in accordance with ANA standards and perioperative guidelines.

The role requires strong clinical competence, medication administration, patient safety focus, teamwork, and ongoing professional growth through education and committees, within our hospital setting in Rhode Island.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• RN license in Rhode Island with BLS; ACLS preferred.
• 2–3 years med/surg experience; OR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in OR and PACU following ANA standards.
• Administer medications and IV therapies per policy.
• Demonstrate professional behavior and teamwork with staff.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives and use data.
• Ensure OR readiness and accurate charting in ORM/McKesson systems.
