Job summary

CareWell Health Medical Center seeks an experienced Perioperative Registered Nurse to support the preoperative holding area through PACU, collaborating with surgeons and anesthesia providers, and ensuring aseptic technique throughout the case.

The RN will coordinate instruments and supplies, perform Time Out, document accurately, and participate in SCIP and quality improvement initiatives while educating patients and families as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with NJ license.
• CNOR or CRNFA preferred with ongoing education.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum 1 year perioperative nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality perioperative nursing care using the nursing process from preop to PACU.
• Coordinate instruments, supplies and equipment for intraoperative phase.
• Perform Time Out and ensure accurate patient counts.
• Document accurately in the medical record and coordinate with the team for safe discharge.
• Participate in SCIP measures and quality improvement initiatives.
