Job summary

Memorial Regional Health is seeking an experienced RN to support Day Surgery, intra-operative roles, and PACU care in Colorado. You will plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans based on assessments to optimize outcomes and resource use, while collaborating across disciplines to coordinate transfers, discharges, and referrals.

You will monitor patient conditions, provide education to patients and families, delegate to ancillary staff, and uphold MRH standards.

Qualifications

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Obtain BLS/ACLS/PALS/ENPC/TNCC as required.
• Active Colorado RN license or Compact license is required.
• Two years of hospital nursing experience preferred.
• Previous OR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plans across Day Surgery, intra-operative, and PACU settings.
• Monitors and communicates patient condition; coordinates transfers, discharge, and referrals.
• Recognizes barriers to communication considering psychosocial and cultural factors.
• Educates patients and families about care appropriate to age, culture, and condition.
• Delegates care to ancillary staff; may precept students and new hires.
• Applies critical thinking and sound judgment with minimal supervision; works in fast-paced environments.
• Follows AORN/ASPAN standards and MRH policies; maintains confidentiality.
• Maintains Perioperative Patient Verification completeness before entering the surgical suite.
