Job summary

Santiam Hospital & Clinics is seeking a skilled Perioperative RN / Charge RN to lead daily operations across Pre-Op, PACU, and the operating suite. The role provides clinical leadership, supports staff, and ensures safe, efficient patient care in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities include coordinating patient flow, assigning care based on acuity, mentoring staff, and working with surgeons and anesthesia to optimize schedules while maintaining regulatory standards and patient

Qualifications

• Active RN license with BLS, ACLS, & PALS certificates.
• Previous OR experience required.
• CNOR certification or other perioperative certifications encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily patient flow in Pre-Op and PACU.
• Assign and oversee nursing care based on acuity and staff competency.
• Serve as clinical resource and mentor for staff.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and support departments to optimize schedules.
• Monitor compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards.
• Assist with staffing, scheduling adjustments, and daily operational decisions.
• Address patient, family, and staff concerns professionally.
• Promote safety, teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
