Job summary

SCA Health in Happy Valley, Oregon, seeks a Charge Nurse to supervise the nursing staff in the PreOp PACU and provide direct patient care. You will lead, manage and educate the team while ensuring smooth patient flow and high clinical standards.

Responsibilities include directing admissions and discharges, planning staff schedules, and developing training to improve practice. A Bachelor’s degree, state nursing license and BLS are required; PALS/ACLS can be obtained.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• Current license to practice professional nursing in the State required.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers required.
• PALS/ACLS (this can be obtained).

Responsibilities

• Direct the nursing staff in PreOp PACU and provide patient care.
• Direct admission, discharge and flow; assign staff to patients/rooms.
• Develop training courses and needs assessments for staff.
• Create schedules, manage supplies and inform changes to protocol.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety and other regulatory requirements.
