Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe environment for patients, self and others.
• Schedules outpatient testing and procedures.
• Obtains authorizations for procedures, medications and tests.
• Fax and mail correspondence as needed.
• Obtains or verifies complete patient demographic information.
• Assists in completing insurance, disability and FMLA forms.
• Escorts patients to and from exam rooms and ensures privacy and safety.
• Collects vital signs and documents patient data.
• Assists in nursing tasks and prepares patients for exams.
• Keeps exam rooms clean, restocked, and equipment disinfected.
• Prepares patient charts for next day appointments.
