Job summary

NYU Langone Health is seeking a Billing Coordinator for Tisch Hospital Perioperative Services. You will oversee charges for implants and supplies in OR settings, ensure accurate billable items, and maintain coding consistency across departments.

Responsibilities include reconciling discrepancies, entering new product data, and collaborating with Revenue Management to resolve complex billing questions. A Bachelor's degree and OR billing experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of operating room, hospital billing and/or supply chain experience.
• Familiarization with surgical terminology, supply chain and device codes, operating room supplies and Epic OpTime.

Responsibilities

• Oversee/post charges for all supplies and implants used in operating room cases and ensure accuracy.
• Enter new product information to assure correct budgeting accounts and billing codes.
• Reconcile billing discrepancies and verify proper documentation with nursing when needed.
• Review Operating Room, PACU, and Same Day Admit charges and generate reports.
• Collaborate with Revenue Management to adjust and research account issues.
• Identify opportunities for billing process improvements and provide recommendations.
