Job summary

NYU Langone Health is seeking a Billing Coordinator for Tisch Hospital Perioperative Services, Day Shift (35 Hours). The role oversees posting charges for supplies and implants in operating room cases and ensures accurate capture of billable items per department policy.

The successful candidate will have 1–3 years in OR/hospital billing or supply chain, and may hold a Bachelor's degree or equivalent; Epic OpTime familiarity is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of experience.
• 1-3 years of operating room, hospital billing and/or supply chain experience.
• Familiarity with surgical terminology, device codes, operating room supplies and Epic OpTime.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and post charges for supplies and implants used in operating room cases at Tisch Hospital and ambulatory sites.
• Enter new product information to ensure correct budgeting accounts and billing codes are used.
• Reconcile billing discrepancies and verify documentation with nursing as needed.
• Review Operating Room, PACU and Same Day Admit charges for accuracy.
