Mercy Hospital in Durango, CO is seeking a Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant to deliver comprehensive anesthesia care within a physician-led team. The CAA will perform preoperative evaluations, develop anesthesia plans, administer anesthesia, monitor patients intraoperatively, and provide post-anesthesia care.

The position emphasizes collaboration with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and nurses to ensure patient safety and high-quality outcomes in a busy inpatient setting.

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited Anesthesiologist Assistant program.
• Current Colorado CAA license and NCCAA certification.
• CPR/BLS and ACLS required; PALS/ATLS may be needed depending on setting.

Responsabilidades

• Perform pre-anesthetic evaluations and plan anesthesia care with physicians.
• Deliver anesthesia (general, regional, local, MAC) and manage intraoperative physiology.
• Provide post-anesthetic care and PACU oversight.
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and care teams to ensure safe perioperative care.
• Document care accurately and participate in quality-improvement activities.
