You will participate in pre‑anesthetic evaluations, formulate anesthesia plans, and provide intraoperative management with anesthesiologists. The role emphasizes collaboration, safety, and ongoing education of trainees within a robust perioperative program.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Anesthesiologist Assistant educational program; Master’s degree preferred.
• Current, unrestricted CAA license in Colorado.
• Current NCCAA certification.
• BLS and ACLS from AHA required.
• PALS and/or ATLS may be required depending on setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive anesthesia care under an anesthesiologist’s direction.
• Perform pre‑anesthetic evaluations and plan anesthesia accordingly.
• Administer and monitor general, regional, local, or MAC anesthesia.
• Oversee PACU care and manage postoperative pain.
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other team members for safe transitions.
• Document all anesthesia care for records and billing; support quality improvement.
• Educate anesthesia students and trainees as needed.
