Job summary

Qualifications

• Certification by the National Commission for Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants (NCCAA) as a Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA).
• Current professional licensure in the state of Utah.
• Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs preoperative evaluation by assessing notes, labs, and histories to determine anesthetic management.
• Monitors equipment and induces general and/or regional anesthesia.
• Manages anesthetic procedure by tracking vital signs and peri-anesthetic variables.
• Adjusts anesthesia procedures as required and informs medical personnel of developments.
• Oversees recovery from anesthesia and performs post-operative evaluation.
• Makes entries in staff notes and anesthesia records.
