Job summary

The Wayne UNC Health Care perinatal/ Nursery RN role supports labor, delivery, and infant care within Wayne Health’s facilities, including the Nursery unit, with a 36-hour workweek and a night schedule at WAYNE MED.

Requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, NC RN licensure, and BLS; one year of experience preferred. Eligible for UNC Health Wayne Incentive Program up to $35,000 commitment incentive.

Qualifications

• Must have nursing knowledge and clinical skills to plan, provide and document care.
• Experience preferred: at least 1 year in nursing.

Responsibilities

• Uses nursing process to plan, provide, supervise and document care per orders and standards.
• Individualizes care plans with professional judgment and updates progress.
• Collaborates with providers and care teams to ensure patient needs are met.
• Delivers age-appropriate, culturally sensitive care and maintains patient safety.
