Job summary

UNC Health Wayne is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the patient care team in Wayne, NC. The RN applies the nursing process to deliver holistic care, lead care planning, and supervise licensed and unlicensed teammates to meet patients' physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.

The role requires current NC RN licensure, BLS, and at least one year of experience. Day shifts with onsite work and a strong focus on teamwork and safety are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current NC RN licensure.
• Competent in BLS and/or other life support certifications as required by department.
• At least 1 year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Uses the nursing process to plan, provide, supervise and document professional nursing care per provider orders and standards.
• Individualizes care plan using professional nursing judgment and updates progress.
• Demonstrates competence in care of patients with complex problems and organizes care.
• Collaborates with providers, interdisciplinary teammates, patients and families.
• Maintains compliance with regulatory guidelines and safety standards.
• Mentors teammates and supports education and training.
