Job summary

UNC Health Wayne is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Labor & Delivery team for night shifts. You will apply nursing process, lead care delivery, and coordinate with providers to meet patients' physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.

As part of UNC Health Wayne, you will guide licensed and unlicensed teammates, ensure safe patient care, and participate in ongoing education while delivering compassionate, evidence-based nursing in a high-acuity environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current North Carolina RN licensure.
• BLS and/or other life-support certifications as required by department.
• At least 1 year of experience preferred.
• Proficient with EMR/Epic and able to learn new software rapidly.

Responsibilities

• Uses the nursing process to plan, provide, supervise and document professional nursing care.
• Individualizes the plan of care using professional nursing judgment.
• Collaborates and communicates with providers, teammates, patients and families.
• Follows regulatory guidelines and maintains patient safety.
• Guides and mentors other staff as needed.
