Job summary

UNC Health Wayne seeks a Registered Nurse to join the patient care team. You will apply the nursing process to plan, deliver, and evaluate care, guiding other licensed teammates to meet patients' physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. This on-site role emphasizes clinical excellence and teamwork in a high-acuity environment.

The position requires NC RN licensure, BLS, and preferred experience; incentive opportunities include up to $35,000 commitment incentive under the Wayne program.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current North Carolina RN licensure required; BLS and other life support certifications as department requires.
• At least 1 year of nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Uses the nursing process to plan, provide, supervise and document professional nursing care.
• Individualizes the plan of care based on patient needs and updates it as they change.
• Collaborates with providers and interdisciplinary teammates to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Mentors and guides other licensed and unlicensed staff as needed.
• Participates in performance improvement activities and maintains a professional demeanor.
