Job summary

UNC Health Wayne is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide holistic patient care in the Labor & Delivery unit. As a member of the patient care team, you will lead colleagues, apply the nursing process, and deliver high‑quality nursing services onsite in Wayne, NC during night shifts.

You will support care plans, collaborate with providers, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance while mentoring teammates and maintaining patient focus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN licensure in North Carolina required.
• BLS or other specialized life support certifications as required by department.

Responsibilities

• Plan, provide, supervise and document professional nursing care per orders and standards.
• Individualize the care plan based on patient needs and progress.
• Collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary teammates.
• Lead or act as charge nurse as assigned.
• Maintain regulatory compliance and safety in patient care.
• Mentor and precept other nurses within the department.
