Job summary

CHRISTUS Health in San Antonio, TX seeks an experienced Perinatal RN to provide independent nursing care in a perinatal setting. The role involves clinical assessment, planning, and delivery of routine and complex care, including education to patients and families, and delegation as needed.

Qualifications include BSN preferred, 1 year of related nursing experience, and active RN license in Texas or Compact State, plus BLS, ACLS and NICU oriented certifications as applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
• 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred.
• Current RN license in state of employment or compact.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Addresses complex psychosocial needs of patients and families.
• Administers medications and treatments using appropriate protocols; monitors effects.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, and care provided.
• Educates patients and families; identifies learning needs and resources.
