Job summary

Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) unit is seeking a Unit Coordinator for the Antepartum/Postpartum Unit to support patient flow, admissions, discharges, and daily operations. You will partner with nursing to ensure smooth transitions and excellent service for patients and families.

The role requires strong customer service and basic computer skills, with 0-1 years of related experience. A high school diploma or GED is required; an associate degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred.
• Zero to one year of related work experience.
• Prior customer service experience.
• Basic familiarity with computers; able to navigate web-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support day-to-day unit operations in a fast-paced inpatient environment.
• Partner with nursing staff to facilitate patient admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Serve as a communication liaison between patients, families, visitors and the care team.
• Maintain accurate patient information and support administrative workflows.
• Assist in creating an organized, efficient, and welcoming environment for patients and staff.
