Job summary

Alief Independent School District Human Resources in Houston, TX seeks a Data Analyst to provide advanced data analysis, reporting, and BI support, focusing on Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA), strategic staffing, certification, recruitment, and educator data management.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Master’s preferred) and strong skills in SQL Server, Python, Power BI, and Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a data/analytics related field is required or equivalent
• Master’s degree preferred
• SQL Server, Python, and Power BI knowledge preferred to support data workflows and dashboards
• Strong skills in Excel including formulas, pivot tables, lookups, data validation and large datasets analysis
• Experience creating dashboards, automated reports, data visualizations, or analytical tools is preferred

Responsibilities

• Collect, validate, analyze, interpret, and submit HR data for district reporting and decision-making
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports for TIA, staffing, certification, and recruitment initiatives
• Prepare executive-level reports, scorecards, and data summaries for HR and district leadership
• Establish automated reporting processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual data entry
• Maintain dashboard documentation, data definitions, refresh schedules and data quality controls
• Collaborate with HR, IT, finance and other departments to ensure accurate reporting and data integrity
