Job summary

UCI Health is seeking a Unit Service Coordinator to coordinate and perform a broad range of clerical support functions in the nursing unit, including reception, data collection, and assembling medical records. The role also supports patient admission and discharge, and may perform routine patient care tasks as required; flexibility to work various shifts is essential.

Strong English communication is required; PMAB certification must be obtained within 3 months of hire, with bilingual skills

Qualifications

• Prior administrative/clerical experience, preferably in a medical setting.
• PMAB Certification within 3 months of hire and annually thereafter.
• Must be able to work variable shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
• Bilingual skills in English and Spanish and/or Vietnamese preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and perform a broad range of clerical support functions in the nursing unit.
• Perform reception functions and collect/compile patient data.
• Assemble medical records and assist with patient admission/discharge.
• Perform routine patient care functions as needed and related duties.
