Job summary

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, part of the Optum family, is looking for a Per Diem Ultrasound Technologist I/II/III at West Campus and surrounding clinics in Houston. The role involves diagnostic sonography, QC tasks, RIS/PACS use, and patient care with a focus on safety and quality.

The candidate should have ARDMS/ARRT eligibility or certification within 1 year, RDMS preferred, and BLS certification. Excellent communication and teamwork are essential for success in a busy clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Required: High School diploma or GED
• Certification status with ARDMS or ARRT (S) and must obtain within 1 year
• BLS certification through American Heart Association
• Proven ability to use computer keyboard and digital image acquisition
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic sonography according to department policies and protocols
• Participates in technical quality control and equipment maintenance
• Uses RIS/PACS correctly and documents findings for radiologist review
• Adheres to ultrasound safety measures and sterile technique
• Participates in training and maintains licenses/certifications
• Interacts effectively with patients and coworkers and communicates with supervision and radiologists
