Albert Einstein Medical Center is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for per diem days in the Montgomery Short Procedure unit. The role involves preparing the OR, assisting the surgical team with gowning, gloving, draping, and maintaining sterile fields, and ensuring patient safety throughout procedures.

The CST will participate in counts with the circulating nurse, provide thorough handoffs, and help sustain an efficient, safe operating room environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of a surgical technician training program.
• BLS certification required (AHA).
• CST - Certified Surgical Technologist certification required.
• TS-C - Certified Tech in Surgery certification preferred.

Responsabilités

• Inspects OR for cleanliness and prepares equipment, instruments and supplies for procedures.
• Assists gowning/gloving of surgical team and maintains sterile field integrity.
• Counts sharps, sponges and instruments with circulating nurse; reports discrepancies.
• Maintains supplies and equipment; supports safe, efficient OR operations; acts as preceptor when needed.
